make it interesting!

I have been ordered to make this blog more interesting..So I got scared and stopped blogging for two days (said with very straight face). You have to believe me! Ok..so I do remember what I ate yesterday and uptill now, today.

Yesterday was fun. I ate a rather unusual breakfast (in stages). First I had my regular coffee with some sugar and milk. Then about an hour later I ate one egg with some peppers, onions and precooked fajita chicken accompanied by a slice of bread. I felt like I was at my favorite diner! It was funny because I was chatting with mom while eating and remembered putting my slice of bread down..and then I couldnt find it! I looked everywhere and really thought I finished it..it was on the kitchen floor. I dont know how it got there.  But it was fun while itlasted..bye slice. This eggy thingy was followed by a clementine. That was breakfast.

This held over pretty well until after I worked out (I always want to write workout-ed), and then I had a mrningstar patty within two slices of whole wheat bread with salsa. I think I also ate another clementine..but that may have been later.

Around 4 a coffee happened, this one was hot and accopanied by a biscotti. I am planning to bake the Smitten Kitchen’s chocolate hazelnut biscotti, but only after I have roomie back to help me eat it all up.

Dinner was at Panera, and was chicken tortilla soup with their rather yummilicious french bread. Me likey…

So yesterday was good and totalled at about 1400 calories, which is where I usually try to stay. I am goin to try to figure out pictures for this thing..that is if it keeps going for more than a month.

Today has been nice too..

Morning always begins with regualr coffee. Which is different from regular coffee but this is MY regular coffee. Thats the way I have drank coffee for the past 10-12 years or so atleast! I just take cold milk, instant coffee and sugar and stir until yummy and cold!

Breakfast was an hour later and was 2 blueberry kashi waffles topped with frozen berries and cottage cheese. This didnt hold over well, I was hungry 2 hours late for lunch.

Thats my cue for lunch..Lunch was chik-fila chargrilled chicken sandwich from the food court and I split some small fries with my friend. It was good, cold day and fries.

An hour or so later..to fight sleepiness I had some coffee (hot this time, with very little milk) and a biscotti. Thats it so far. I think dinner might be leftover soup or it even may be something more…recent maybe? We will have to see!

an interesting day

Today was good. I stuck to plan until dinner. But we will talk about dinner when we get to dinner!

Started with my regular coffee, and then later my bowl of oatmeal with 1/3 cup oatmilk, ditto for water and milk, 1/2 banana and 1/4 cup cottage cheese.

Lunch was leftover daal..very spicy and yummy, followed by eggrolls (that was the end…thanku!) . A piece of dark chocolate followed that.

Snack was hot chocolate and the leftover banana with pb.

Dinner happened to be chinese buffet! I know..not good. My friend came from out of town and we ended up there. Cant really say I was all controlled there, sorry, but I didnt feel like I would burst..which is a good sign right?

Ohh well calories: about 2300? Too too many

dnunch?

So after the workout and the trip to the grocry store, I came home to a cup of coffee (splash of milk, hot water, 2 tsp sugar ) and 3!! eggrolls. Well, the deal is that I get to buy one processed junk thingy at the grocery store, this was my indulgence. Each roll was 120 KCal, bringing the total to 420 for that and the coffee.

While studying I munched on a piece of chocolate..extra dark, 60% cacoa. (55 KCal)

Dinner was my yummy chicken soup. Its got a serious serious kick to it..my stuffy nose really likes the kick though! I made like a bucket of soup..enough for the next few meals. But again, I have other random stuff I need to finish as well! This was accompanied by a slice of bread as well. (Whole grain). This was a good dinner for a cold night.  The soup is about 240 calories for a huge 2 cup serving..which I am in the process of polishing off. and the bread was 70 calories..bring the total to 310 calories.

The total for today: 1300 calories (including the clementine I will eat after soup)

Missing today were fruits and veggies. Wil eat more of those tomorrow..no worries. Here’s the plan (I really like the Beck Diet Solution , so will try to post my plan for the next day at night)

Brekky: oatmeal+banana, coffee

lunch: leftover moong daal+slaw salad with chicken/sausage (that begs to be finished ASAP!)

Dinner: soup ( I made a bucket afterall!) and a clementine

I need to make some yogurt and also make some more veggies..Some indian eggplant coming up! Snacks will be random..maybe another egg roll and hot coffee for stuffy nose?

Sunday January 4th

Hello,

Well , te topic of the blog does not match its intent. That is because I started this blog to talk about relationships and actually never got around to it. Realized I like food quite a bit more and also that I have been having a serious endles case of the muchies for the past week or so. This , to me, indicated that I had better track my food and also what goes along with it. Not the condiments, no, the actual feelings etc. So I am planning to track my intake here. I wil take pictures sometimes, when at home because I have a big camera (Which I love) therefore I cannot carry it everywhere at all! Sorry bout that…

Of the million or so food blogs..why should you read mine? Well mine has a twist..I am an Indian, in the USof A who eats fusion food to the extreme. Some things I like very Indian istyle and others more American/italian/chinese..so I always keep on doing my thing! So here it goes..

Today morning I dran kmy regular coffee which is basically a mug of milk with instant coffee and 2 tsp of sugar

That was followed (much later) by some yummy upma..which is a cracked semolina wheat.   The entire thing was about 450 calories and counts as brunch. Because once it settles, I will go workout, and I will eat something I havent decided. Till later then!
